The Ice Skating at Steinberg Rink is a perfect destination for a mid-holiday family activity.  Ice skating is a great way to burn off the kid's extra energy and work off some holiday pounds. It is Plus, ice skating outdoors is fun and memorable for kids.

2008 marks the fifty year anniversary of the rink which is located on the east side of Forest Park. The rink is open on all holidays, including next week's New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Skaters can rent ice skates at the rink and lockers are available for a quarter. There is usually a bonfire to sit by and warm up and hot cocoa is available at the Snowflake Cafe. 

Next week, there is a special event on New Year's Eve. Your family can ring in the new year at the rink and kids are welcome. Adults cost $23 and kids under 12 are $15 which includes skate rental, appetizers and drinks for adults and kids (tip: the rink only takes cash). The event does not require reservations.
