Frenchtown Heritage Museum

November 20, 2008

As I've mentioned before, my kids like trains. My oldest son is nine years old and has been fascinated with them since he was three years old. The triplets are now three and have started playing with older brother's wooden trains and there are new tracks snaking through our basement. I have taken my oldest son to toy train shows in the past but this year will mark the first time the little ones will get to go to the holiday train displays.

The Frenchtown Heritage Museum in St. Charles, Missouri began its annual holiday toy train show on November 15th. We have visited this display before and it has been a big hit with kids. The intricate display recreates the way Frenchtown looked in the early 1900's and includes historical information on the area. The displays are beautiful and very interesting for adults as well as children.

The museum is located at 1121 N. Second Street in St. Charles, not far from Main Street. The trains and treasures show only costs $2 for adults and $1 for children with the money going towards the museum.
