Handwriting requires fine motor skills, coordination and finger strength which all take time and repetition to develop. Working with children as soon as possible in these areas will prepare your child for writing and remove some frustration when learning these new skills. The March of Dimes reports 1 in 8 babies are born prematurely (before 37 weeks) in the United States. Missouri's pre-term birth statistics are worse than the national average and was given an F Grade with a 13% preterm birth rate.
