Even young children can realize when someone has helped them so you can use this time to help kids give thanks to others. leaf rubbings- bring the outside in this autumn

My three year old triplets love leaves. In the summer, they beg to be lifted up high so they can pick them off tree branches and in the fall, they like to collect them dried and colorful from the ground. I use their interest as a teaching opportunity by asking what color the leaves are, what noises they make as we crunch through them and we try to count them as they fall to the ground.
