Japanese Festival at Missouri Botanical Gardens

This weekend is the annual Japanese Festival at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. Admission is $15 for the general public, $5 for garden members and children (under 3 is free). There are many family friendly events, including children's activities such as origami, calligraphy and traditional Japanese games. The Taiko or Japanese Drum performances at the ampitheatre are a popular performance and with five shows scheduled, there is plenty of opportunities to watch. This year, Japanese puppetry makes its debut at MOBOT's festival at the Shoenberg Theater. There are many other attractions at the festival which goes on through Labor Day.  Read more...
